The Mother: out now in paperback

I love the summer. It always reminds me of those long-ago school holidays, of freedom, of spending days lost in a good book. As a boy, I spent many happy summers with a paperback in hand and I love the fact that my own paperbacks now arrive as the long break is just getting underway.

Speaking of which…

The paperback of The Mother is here!

It’s available from Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Morrisons, Waterstones, WHSmith Travel stores (and their regular high street shops), as well as independent bookshops, Amazon and other retailers. There are also some really striking posters for the paperback edition in railway stations around the country this week.

I was so pleased when The Mother hit the Sunday Times bestsellers list in hardback and I can’t wait to see what paperback readers think of the story of Heather and her search for justice…

It was great to talk to so many thriller fans at the Theakston Old Peculier Crime Writing Festival recently, and wonderful to be on a panel with four psychological suspense writers at the top of their game - Louise Candlish, Claire Douglas, Shari Lapena and C.L. Taylor. Needless to say, by the end of the long festival weekend in Harrogate I’d almost lost my voice and needed a few days to recover!
