It doesn’t seem long since I was standing on the quay of a small harbour, watching Jason Watkins and a cast of other brilliant actors bringing my thriller The Catch to life.

I was amazed by how many members of the production crew were there on the day I visited the set – not just camera operators and sound people but directors, designers, producers, electricians, grips, wardrobe, hair and make-up to name just a few – and it gave me a small insight into the complex process of bringing a book to TV.

Netflix is one of my favourites and I love the fact that my little book will be rubbing shoulders with so many great dramas on the platform - to see it trending at no.4 in the UK’s top ten shows in its first week was very special indeed.
The Catch landed on October 9th 2023 and all four episodes are now available. It has a fantastic cast, an amazing setting and a compelling storyline about a father who gets a bad feeling when he meets his daughter’s new boyfriend for the first time…
